Frequently asked questions
FAQs
Can I drop in without an appointment?
No. Smash RX does not accept walk-ins under any circumstance.
Because we operate as both a private therapeutic practice and a recreational rage room, an appointment is required to ensure the safety, quality of care, and integrity of our business.
Guests who arrive without an appointment will be turned away and directed to our website.
How old do I need to be to participate?
The minimum age to participate is 12 years old. Participants ages 12–15 must have an adult (18+) in the room with them at all times. Participants 16 and older may participate independently.
All participants MUST be at least 12 years of age and MUST fit securely in all required safety equipment. This age limit will NOT be breached.
What can I expect when booking a smash session at Smash RX?
You can expect a fun, safe, and structured experience.
You’ll book your session online, check in on day and time of your appointment, complete your waiver(s), gear up with provided protective equipment, and get a quick safety briefing.
Your package includes enough wooden and glass items to get you through your session. If you’d like to increase the fun, we offer a variety of add-ons you can select during booking.
You don’t need to be angry or stressed to enjoy Smash RX. Many guests come just for fun, to try something new, or to celebrate with friends. You’ll smash, play music, laugh, and have a great time in a safe, controlled environment. All rules are explained beforehand to keep everyone safe.
Most guests leave feeling happy, lighter, and energized.
Do I need to arrive early to complete my waiver?
No. There is no need to arrive early. Your appointment time already includes the necessary time to complete your waiver. We kindly ask that you DO NOT arrive more than 5 minutes before your scheduled session, as we prepare the space specifically for your group.
I'm not sure how many participants I will have... can I adjust my booking day of?
Yes. You can adjust your group size on the day of your appointment, as long as you remain within the parameters of our general booking packages and DO NOT exceed our Large Group maximum of 9 guests.
For example, if you booked a Small Group package (minimum of 3 guests, maximum of 5 guests) and initially confirmed 4 guests but arrive with 2 additional participants, we can adjust your booking to accommodate them.
Final headcount adjustments can be made at check-in to ensure your whole group can participate.

This is strictly enforced for safety reasons.
What is destruction therapy?
Destruction therapy is a coping technique in which people break and destroy various items in order to release their emotions in a safe appropriate environment. Our “rage rooms” provide a secure and monitored arena for anyone experiencing the very normal feelings of anger, sadness, anxiety, depression, or stress and want to release them. Not to mention, it’s just pure fun!
Is this safe?
Yes. Our number one priority at Smash RX LLC is safety. We provide all necessary safety gear for our destruction therapy clients. We also provide tools/materials that are not harmful to humans in any way.
Will I be able to speak with the therapist?
No. While Smash RX was founded by a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, Smash RX is not therapy, and smash sessions do not include therapy, counseling, or a meeting with a therapist before, during, or after your session EVER.
Smash RX provides a recreational and wellness-based stress relief experience, not mental health treatment. If you are looking for therapy or clinical services, those must be booked separately through the appropriate practice.
